Position Summary
The Social Worker (CYMH) coordinates internal and external services to ensure that clients with complex mental health needs are best supported through the Child and Youth Mental Health program and their community. The Social Worker provides leadership for a collaborative, integrated and client-centered approach to service delivery by working with clients (children and youth) and their families, and coordinating and advocating with service planning systems and community partners. They support family capacity building by identifying, creating, and delivering education sessions to clients and their families. Additional responsibilities include conducting intakes and assessments, making referrals, coordinating and chairing case conference meetings with other service providers, service management, and funding application coordination.

Hours of Work
Full-time contract (35 hours per week) ending June 16, 2026 with the possibility of extension

Location
North Bay, ON

Hourly Rate/Salary
Minimum $34.13 to maximum $41.52 per hour; salary commensurate with education and experience

Qualifications

  • Four (4) year bachelor’s degree in social work
  • Registered Social Worker (RSW) with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers
  • Related work experience is an asset
  • Experience working with children, youth, and families an asset
  • Experience working with multi-disciplinary and interdisciplinary teams an asset
  • Proficient software skills using the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, and Outlook)
  • Knowledge of resources and support services available to clients and their families
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety, with a willingness to contribute and lead in the culture of safety and prevention of adverse health events for clients and their families/caregivers, colleagues, other community members and yourself
  • Demonstrates professionalism in dealing with highly confidential information and situations
  • Successful applicants will be required to provide:
    • Proof of eligibility to work in Canada
    • A valid Ontario driver’s license and use of a reliable motor vehicle; insurability on Agency vehicle insurance policy
    • Clear Criminal Record Check, including Vulnerable Sector Search
  • Preference will be given to bilingual (French/English) candidates
