Maltby Centre is the lead regional agency for Mental Health and Autism Services, with an experienced and compassionate team of professionals who provide high quality, community based health and support services to children and youth in Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox & Addington (KFL&A).  Formerly known as Pathways for Children & Youth, Maltby Centre is a registered charity and not-for-profit agency established in 1996 and funded in part by the Ontario government.  Through the work of over 140 dedicated staff, Maltby Centre creates possibilities for change in young lives.

Position Overview

As the Associate Director of Clinical Programs & Services, you will be a key member of the Maltby Centre Leadership Team supporting the management, implementation, and execution of the strategic plan under the leadership of the Director of Clinical Programs & Services. You provide operational leadership and supervision for all clinical services within the Autism Program and the Child/Youth Mental Health Program and will support the Program Managers, Clinical Supervisors and their teams to provide innovative and high quality client service to the populations who we are here to serve. You will also help foster an environment in which inclusion, collaboration, accountability and respect is valued and excellence in clinical services and professional development is promoted and achieved. As a member of the Leadership Team, you will contribute to organizational effectiveness by participating in collaborative planning and decision-making for Maltby in the areas of quality and risk management, financial and utilization management, planning, client safety, and professional practice.


As the ideal candidate, you hold a Graduate Degree from an accredited University and have a minimum of seven (7) years’ of relevant experience, including five (5) years’ progressively responsible clinical leadership experience. As an accomplished transformational clinical leader with a passion for exemplary client service putting clients and families first, you also possess demonstrated in-depth knowledge of and ability to apply clinical theory and practice related to mental health and/or autism services for children, youth and their families in addition to an understanding and ability to apply the principles of measurement-based care and management. You will establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with community agencies and service providers to create and support an integrated system between the Maltby Centre and all community partners, while supporting and implementing a transformational vision of integrated and collaborative practice.

A Regulated Health Professions Act designation is preferred, or clinical experience equivalent. Experience with Ministry of Health and/or Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services reporting and French Language proficiency, both written and verbal are considered assets.
